General
Questions customers often ask.
How do I know what generator size I need?
Start with a list of everything that must operate during an outage, including motors, pumps, air conditioners, refrigeration and other high-starting-current equipment. The website sizing assistant provides only a preliminary planning range. Lestronics should confirm the final capacity, voltage, phase, duty and site conditions.
Why are generator prices not shown online?
The final cost can depend on capacity, enclosure, phase, voltage, accessories, freight, transfer equipment, installation, commissioning and availability. A structured quotation helps ensure that the proposed equipment fits the application.
Can I rent a generator if I do not know the required kVA?
Yes. List the equipment to be powered, site supply and dates, then request a load assessment. Rental availability and the final configuration are confirmed by Lestronics.
What should I send for an emergency repair?
Call first, then send the generator make, model, serial number, capacity, displayed alarm or fault code, fuel level, site location, access instructions and clear photographs of the equipment and control display.
Does submitting an emergency form guarantee a response time?
No. Response depends on confirmation by Lestronics, technician availability, site access, location, safety and the nature of the fault. Any contractual response commitment must be stated in the applicable service agreement.
What information helps identify a spare part?
Provide the generator and engine make, model and serial number; the old part; all visible labels and ratings; connector or terminal details; dimensions; and photographs from several angles.
What is included in a maintenance plan?
The website describes typical starting plans. The actual scope, frequency, consumables, testing, reporting and response arrangements are confirmed after the equipment and operating requirements are reviewed.
Can Lestronics help with installation and transfer switches?
Yes. Installation and integration enquiries can include generator placement, electrical connection, automatic transfer equipment, controls, fuel, exhaust, testing and commissioning. The final project scope requires a site and technical review.
Can I pay online?
The website includes a payment-ready page. A live merchant gateway must be configured by Lestronics before customers can make secure online payments. Never send card details through the contact forms.
Where does Lestronics provide service?
The site accepts requests from across Jamaica. Actual service availability, travel, response and scheduling are confirmed for each request.
